Moni Plus Donates Wheelchairs and Crutches to Support Patient Care in Mt Hagen Provincial Specialist Hospital

The Mt Hagen Provincial Specialist Hospital’s Physiotherapy Department received a timely boost last Friday, 17 July, 2025, when the Moni Plus Branch in Mt Hagen donated three wheelchairs, two for adults and one for paediatric use, alongside crutches to assist patients with mobility challenges.

The presentation was held at the hospital’s Board Room in the presence of Hospital Manager Sr Serah Dot, Director of Nursing Services Sr Janet Yamu, Deputy Director Sr Namba, Paediatric Supervisor Sr Joan Okk, and other senior staff. 

Moni Plus Chief Revenue Officer, Mr Menuhin Daroya, said the donation was part of the company’s ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility.

“Moni Plus is helping our people without expecting anything in return, because sharing is caring,” he stated.

Branch Team Leader, Mr Mekson Opa, added that Moni Plus, as one of the country’s leading financial service providers, has supported patients in the past and remains committed to giving back to the community.

Sr Dot expressed appreciation, noting that as a government institution, the hospital cannot provide everything patients need.

“In the Highlands, we encounter many cases of tribal fights, domestic violence, and other injuries. This donation will help us care for patients when they come to us,” she said.

Sr Yamu, also thanked Moni Plus for its continued support.

“You have come to our aid at your own time, and you have supported us previously as well. This generosity makes a real difference for our patients,” she remarked.

The donation shows the importance of partnerships between healthcare institutions and corporate organizations in addressing critical needs and improving patient care across the Highlands region.
